A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the emails sent to nonexistent addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you will never miss emails because the other side has an out-of-date email address or has made a spelling mistake. The disadvantage of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of spam emails, but this problem can be fixed using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also essential to keep in mind that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot forward incoming emails to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

A catch-all button is available to the right of each email address that you have created under any domain registered in the account. You can select one address per domain by clicking on the respective button. This will activate the feature right away, so all emails sent to mistyped email addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button for a second time will disable the catch-all feature. If you have active email forwarding, our system will display a cautionary message and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature unless you remove the forwarding or you can simply choose another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

You will be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than one click if you have a semi-dedicated hosting plan with us and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the email addresses that you create with any domain hosted in your account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this option will be to click on that icon.
